Farhan is a development professional with years of experience in the field of International Development especially in PSD, M4P, Value Chain Analysis etc. Before engaging as Head of Communications in READ program, he worked as a Senior Consultant in a DFID funded project called Katalyst (www.katalyst.com.bd) where his role involved managing and supporting number of market development interventions that focused on Inclusive Business Development, Media as Voice for Poor, Local Economic Development, Women Empowerment and Institutional Capacity Building.
Earlier in his career, he was involved for almost 8 years working at Aventis, Bank Asia, British American Tobacco, bracNet and STEERWEB in several areas of Business and ICT leadership positions.He was formally awarded by the former President of Bangladesh for his zealous facilitation in establishing service automation at local municipalities to ensure Good Governance.
During his undergraduate, he remained involved with the world's largest non profit and voluntary student organization AIESEC, as Vice President of the Bangladesh chapter for Youth Development. He worked for UNICEF and ICC as a Volunteer during his early career. He is also the Founder of a private philanthropic initiative JIBIKA (www.jibika-bd.org ) that addresses poverty and livelihood issues for Women, Children and Old aged people.
Mr. Enam possess a Master of Business Administration from North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh and an MSc. Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. He is a Bangladeshi national and has international training experience in India, Philippines, Thailand and United Kingdom.
