A development professional with years of experience in the field of International Development. Worked as an M4P consultant in managing and supporting number of private sector development interventions including business development services (BDS) for Small and Medium Enterprises, Media for Voice of Poor, Business Enabling Environment for Small and Cottage Industries and Local Economic Development through Agricultural Development, Women Empowerment and Institutional Capacity Building.
Earlier in career, I was involved for almost 8 years working at Aventis, Bank Asia, British American Tobacco, bracNet and STEERWEB in several areas of Business and ICT leadership positions that equipped me with sound professional and leadership abilities as well as helped me build strong international network within my working domain.
I was formally awarded by the former president of Bangladesh for his zealous facilitation in establishing service automation at local municipalities to ensure Good Governance.
During my undergraduate in 1997-2001, I remained involved with the world’s largest non profit and voluntary student organization AIESEC, as Vice President of the Bangladesh chapter. I am also the Founder and Chairman of a philanthropic initiative JIBIKA (www.jibika-bd.org ) that aims to reduce poverty through employment creation.
I possess a Master of Business Administration from North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh and MSc. Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. I am a Bangladeshi national and has international training experience in India, Philippines, Thailand and United Kingdom.
